Historical NotesDiamond National Bank money bag donated by numismatic enthusiast Wayne Horman. Diamond National Bank formed in 1871 as Diamond Savings Bank, they chose the name because of the location of the bank in what was called “The Diamond” in downtown Pittsburgh on Diamond Square. It reorganized as a national bank in 1875 when its name was changed to Diamond National Bank.
