Historical NotesMellon National Bank money bag donated by numismatic enthusiast Wayne Horman. Mellon National Bank was formed from the firm of T. Mellon & Sons started by Thomas Mellon. Upon his retirement in 1902 the name changed to Mellon National Bank and Andrew Mellon took over as president.
