Historical NotesLeather hunting bag formerly owned by Daniel Boone. Purportedly given by Boone to his brother-in-law, Henry Bryan (they married each other's sisters). Donor William E. Scheibler acquired it from the widow of Bryan's several-times-great-grandson namesake. Donated to the Carnegie Museum in January 1924 by William E. Scheibler. Transferred to the Heinz History Center in 2019.
