Historical NotesSTS-135 launch identification badge belonging to Jay Apt. For the launch of the final Space Shuttle mission, STS-135, on July 8 2011, NASA invited all astronauts to Kennedy Space Center. Jay Apt attended. The NASA Space Shuttle launched 135 times between 1981 and 2011. Jay Apt was aboard four of those missions.
