Historical NotesSTS-79 flown beef jerky food packet belonging to Jay Apt. The crew had become fond of this beef jerky during training and Jay Apt ate it often during the busy mission instead of stopping to prepare a meal. Notice the Velcro on these flown objects designed to keep them tethered in the weightlessness of space.
