Historical NotesHat cover used by a deliveryman for Beverly Farms Dairy. John Hawrylak was a deliveryman for Beverly Farms Dairy for over thirty years. Hawrylak was the son of Ukranian immigrants. He served in WWII and was stationed in Pearl Harbor during the attack. Upon returning home from the war, he started working for the dairy. He delivered wholesale to the Ambridge area. Beverly Farms was one of the biggest dairy companies in the Pittsburgh area and was located on Reedsdale Street on the North Side. At some point in the 1960s they expanded their operation and opened another distribution center in McKeesport. The company filed for bankruptcy in 1977.
