DescriptionLarge salt-glazed stoneware pitcher, medium-to-dark grey color, brown Albany-glazed interior; jug-like body bulging outward at waist, hourglass neck opens to a wide, flaring mouth, with pulled spout; applied moulded handle, decorative incised lines at top and base of neck; body has stencilled cobalt decoration identifying maker with repeating leaf design and large stencilled number; freehand brushed bands at base, midline, and rim; repeating brush-strokes on neck near spout; scars from kiln stackers/separators on base.Dimensions13.25 x 9 x 7.5 in. (33.7 x 22.9 x 19.1 cm)MarksBody has stencilled cobalt decoration, which reads: "Williams & Reppert. Greensboro. P.A." with large stencilled "2".
