Historical NotesOn May 14, 1915, two Pittsburgh patrol officers named Martin Toole and Delbert Nagle, held the first meeting of the Fraternal Order of Police. The purpose of the organization was to better the working conditions of law enforcement officers. The annual conventions allow officers to participate in setting the goals and agenda for the organization. Part of the Pittsburgh Police Historical Association collection.
