InscriptionsFront has text on banners "PITTSBURGH LOCAL 1" and "FIRE FIGHTERS".

Back has text that is engraved and painted black "BERNIE BURNS / NO. 234".
MarksBack has text "ADM / AWARD DESIGN MEDALS INC. / P.O. BOX 1088 / NORMAN, OKLA. 73070".

Below that is a raised medal rectangle with "GP/SP" carved in the middle.
Historical NotesPart of a collection belonging to Bernie Burns. The collection documents Firefighters Local No. 1, the firefighting union of which Bernie Burns was the president; his life as a firefighter; and additional items that document growing up in Lawrenceville in the 1960s and 1970s.
