Historical NotesDrumhead from the Damaged Pies, a music band from Pittsburgh in the 1990s. The Pies were one of many critically acclaimed bands based in Pittsburgh during this era. From West Alexander, PA, the Pies had an evolving style and line-up, but at the start they had a female lead vocalist. Their final sound was known as garage metal. Starting in the 2000s, they toured the country as a solo acoustic act and brought attention to the Pittsburgh music scene. The donor, Stephen Bodner, founded the band in the late 1980s, and as of a 1996 article, had already gone through 24 different musicians.
