DescriptionFootball helmet with detached face mask and piece of padding. Gold-tone football helmet. Blue text on either side of the helmet, with a single blue stripe down the center of the helmet and a white stripe on either side of the helmet. Top and front of the helmet is covered with blue and gold-tone helmet stickers, which have an illustration of a panther head on each. White fabric chin strap, attached to helmet but two metal snaps on each side. Chin strap has red text on both sides. Orange plastic pieces screwed on front and sides, which holds facemask. The two pieces on the top front are intact, but the ones on either side of the helmet are damaged. Fabric folded over from the from inside the front to the outside of the front. Inside helmet is white plastic with adhered beige pieces of padding covered in a pebbled plastic material. White sticker with black text on the back proper right side. Embossed logo next to this sticker also on the back proper right side.
Face mask is metal frame covered in a dark gold colored rubber. Maker's mark printed in white on the proper right side of mask.

Historical NotesUniversity of Pittsburgh football helmet worn by Bill Fralic. Born in Penn Hills, Bill Fralic played high school football at Penn Hills High School and graduated in 1981. He played for University of Pittsburgh from 1981-1984 before entering the NFL draft in 1985. Fralic played for the Atlanta Falcons from 1985-1992 and the Detroit Lions in 1993.
