Historical NotesLampshade from Chiodo's Tavern signed by guests over the years. Chiodo's tavern was located on 8th Avenue in Homestead, at the end of the Homestead High Level Bridge. It was known for its "mystery sandwich" and the local memorabilia that covered its walls and ceilings, including bras. Chiodo's was opened by Joe Chiodo in 1947 and closed in April 2005. The building was torn down and a Walgreens was built in its place.
