The branch of the sword is mostly undecorated except for the leaf design at the part closest to the pommel. The grip itself is covered in a gold chain. The front middle is an oval metal piece attached with a person in the middle shot through with arrows symbolizing Saint Sebastian. The figure appeared to have had paint on it before, however most has worn away. There is also some undecipherable writing over a green background. The lowest part of the basket has two oval flaps on either side. The flap on the back folds toward the grip. The crossguard has a leaf design at its tip. There is a white paper attached to the branch tied with a piece of string with source information and date on the back. The front of the sword nearest the basket has engraved German inscription, below that is an embossed leaf pattern, below that is an oval with a person in the middle with arrows going through him. Around the oval is German inscription. Further down is another embossed/ engraved German inscription written in old English script. Below that continues with more leaf patterns and a circle with a square cross in the middle of the circle. Finally the front of the sword has a few more leaf patters. The bottom half of the sword is undecorated. The false edge of the sword has a leaf pattern. On the back of the sword at the top near the basked is German maker inscription. On the back of the sword at the top near the basket is a symbol with what appears to be a monogram with a sword going through it. The engravings on the back of the sword have leaf patterns, a bullseye and another circle with a cross intersecting in the middle. Gold metal and brown leather scabbard. The front top of the scabbard has leaf and decorations engraved into the metal. There is a metal clip attached to this piece to attach to ones belt. The clip has a rounded button at the end and a leaf with a rivet over top in the middle. The middle section of the sword has leather. At the end there is another metal piece that has a groove going around its edge to make a border. There is a rounded tip at the bottom.
