DescriptionFraternal badge with metal plate at top (on the back of which is a straight pin) with color image of an opened eye with three chain links with text within links and acronym of organization. Black silk ribbon has silver metallic text with organization information and logo and symbols. Reverse side is a red ribbon with silver metallic text, same as front. Gold metallic tassels on bottom edge of both ribbons.Dimensions2.875 x 9.25 in. (7.3 x 23.5 cm)InscriptionsMetal plate at top of badge has with "F L T" within the links and letters "G.U.O. of O.F."
Both sides of ribbon have silver metallic text, "TRIUMPHANT / LODGE NO. 3954 / G.U.O.of O.F. / BRADDOCK, / PA."
Historical NotesPart of a collection belonging to James W, Carter a township commissioner of North Versailles, Pennsylvania, from the 1920s to the 1960s. Carter was a member of several fraternal organizations including the American Woodmen, Knights of Pythias, Odd Fellows, and the Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elk of the World Lodge 515.
