DescriptionNavy blue cloth hat with black brim and gold leaf stitching. Hole on front of hat and also two on each side. Blue and gold checkered hat band (Sillitoe Tartan) with a yellow band across the front. Band is affixed with two gold buttons that have name of city department around the city's coat of arms. On underside is a brown inner band, a clear plastic sleeve, and orange lining.Dimensions3 x 33 in. Historical NotesMayer DeRoy served on the Pittsburgh Police force from 1960-1992 and the Homestead Police force from 1992-1995. He served as Pittsburgh Police Chief from May 17, 1990 to June 15, 1992. From 1992-1995 he was the Chief of the Homestead Police. Part of the Pittsburgh Police Historical Association collection.
