Historical NotesThe "Keg-O-Beer" cone top can was manufactured by the Duquesne Brewing Company. It debuted in late 1935; the early cans state "Keg" in the phrase "Keg-O-Beer" and had short production periods. The later cans state "Can" in "Can-O-Beer" and are more common. The Duquesne Brewing Company (1899-1972) was a major brewery on the South Side of Pittsburgh. In 1933, the largest single face clock in the world was installed on the brewery's building; in 2009, AT&T bought the rights to advertise on the still-working clock.
