Historical NotesThis wardrobe was made by Jan Misanik, a Slovak immigrant who came to the United States around 1905. He made it for his newly married sister, Teresa Misanik Katrencik from scrap wood in a coal mine. It was used to store large quantities of bread as Teresa Katrencik kept boarders in her home. It was passed down in the family and donated to the museum by Joe Katrencik.
