Historical NotesImmigration trunk used by Christian Franz Eberbach.Label TextVery little is known about this trunk and its owner except for what is described in the hand-painted script on the front, labeling it as belonging to Christian Franz Eherbach on route from Bremen, Germany to “Pittsburg, Nor Amerika” via New York. Only one directory listing has been found for a Christian Franz in Pittsburgh during this time period, dating to 1888-1889.
