Historical NotesPaperweight related to Waldman's Meats, Inc. of New Castle, Pennsylvania. The donor Bruce Waldman's parents, Martin and Edith Waldman, founded Waldman’s Meats in New Castle in 1947. Martin passed away in 1983 and Edith in 2012. Edith worked as a bookkeeper, clerk, and advisor. The donor also worked in the store. Waldman’s Meat Company sent prepared and frozen meats to restaurants, hotels, and institutions in the greater Pittsburgh area. The Waldman’s were members of the Tifereth Israel Synagogue, now Temple Hadar Israel.
