DescriptionPoster-sized Klavon Druggist calendar page featuring an image of a young girl dressed in pink. The calendar is stapled with two staples to the bottom of the image and reads January 1921. The background of the image is dark brown on the bottom and fades to olive green toward the top. The top of the poster features text in a red/brown color. The girl has dark blond hair, a pink hat with pink ribbons, and a pink blouse. The top and bottom of the poster have a brown strip of metal attached to them. On the backside of the top there is a brass colored loop hook attached to the metal strip.Dimensions19.75 x 15 in. (50.2 x 38.1 cm)

Historical NotesPart of a collection related to Klavon's, which document that Klavon's was originally a pharmacy and an ice cream shop. Klavon's Pharmacy opened at 28th and Liberty in 1920. It operated at that location as both a pharmacy and soda/ice cream shop until 1979 when founder James Klavon passed away. For 20 years the building was boarded up until Ray Klavon, grandson of the founder, re-opened the store in 1999 as Klavon's Ice Cream Parlor. In 2013 the family sold the building to a new owner who opened another ice cream shop under the same name.
