DescriptionPink silk or sateen square handkerchief. The handkerchief has a white sew edge around its border. The bottom right of the handkerchief has a scene depicting a yellow and red flamingo; two yellow and green palm trees with three coconuts each and three flowers of red and yellow. In the background are four hills. There is a black sun in the top of the scene. The scene is oriented at a diagonal. The front of it has the inscription "Merry Xmas to Mom / from Your Loving Son - Bob / Luzon In the Phillippines [sic] - 1945."
At the top of the envelope near the opening is the text "Mayon P.I." and a number "1" in a circle.
Historical NotesPart of a collection that documents the Fisher, Keltz, and Kenyon families. The majority of the collection is related to the WWII service of brothers Walt and Robert Fisher. Robert Fisher served in the Pacific theater, particularly in the Philippines.
