Historical NotesMesta Machine Company identification badge that belonged to the donor Roy Pastorius. Roy started at Mesta in 1954 as a draftsman in the mechanical design department and he worked there until the company closed in 1982. At the time they closed he was the Senior Designer and was one of the last draftsman to work. On the last day that the cafeteria was open he took this spoon home with him as a memento, the cafeteria was the first thing to close as the company started to shut down. In order to gain entry to the armed guarded facility you had to have your I.D. badge. This guarded system was started during WWII and continued for some time after.
