Historical NotesThese combs were made by August Schneider.Label TextAugust Schneider brought this kit of tools with him from Germany and used them in the making of horn and shell combs. He had a shop, advertising “boots, shoes and gaiters” in Pittsburgh in the 1870-1880s and died in the 1920s.
