Historical NotesUnidentified military pin belonging to Frederick A. Lepant who served during WWII. This pin looks similar to the U.S. Army's Quartermaster Corps Branch Insignia , though with slight variations: sword and key are switched around; to match the original, the eagle should be taller; and different center decoration. Frederick Albert Lepant (April 14, 1928-September 18, 2008) was a graduate of Schenley High School, and who resided in Bellevue, was a member of US Army Air Forces during World War II, from 1940-1947. After his military career he was a draftsman at Dravo and then an electrical engineer at Duquesne Light.
