DescriptionChild's outfit consisting of shirt, shorts, and belt. Brown and white pinstripe fabric. Shirt is sleeveless, has brown trim around armholes, brown fabric sailor collar with three white fabric stripes on each side, and four white buttons down front opening. Shirt has six light brown buttons around waistline that correspond to buttonholes around waist of shorts.Dimensions(a) Height 13.5, Width 15.625; (b) Height 14.25, Width at waist 13.25;

Historical NotesPart of a collection of early 1930s handmade clothing made by Margaret Pfitzner Wright for her son, donor Charles Wright, who was born in 1928. Margaret’s father was born in Germany in 1850, immigrated to the United States, and at the age of 14, in 1865, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Margaret was born in 1889. Donor Charles Wright’s father, Theadore, was raised on a farm, his parents were workers at Old Economy. He was the caretaker for the Atwood people of Leetsdale.
