Historical NotesPrinting press prop used on the set of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. X the Owl's love of learning and his admiration of Benjamin Franklin are shown in his printing press and his Owl Correspondence School sign. In many of the episodes he is often on assignment for the Correspondence School and in a 1997 episode titled "Be Yourself That's the Best," X offers flying lessons to the neighborhood. A later episode also shows X at work on his printing press when Neighbor Aber uses his "looking inside of things" to see inside the Treehouse. Part of a collection from the set of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Mister Rogers was one of the longest running children’s show on public television. It debuted on national television in 1968 and ran until the 2001.
