Historical NotesRally towel from "whiteout" during Game 1 of the 2008 NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins & the Philadelphia Flyers on May 9, 2008. Every person in attendance at the game received this type of rally towel to wave during the game, causing the entire audience to appear completely white in order to distract the opposing team. The Penguins won the series 4 games to 1, advancing them to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Penguins went on to the Stanley Cup but lost to the Detroit Red Wings.
