Historical NotesThis football helmet was worn by Pittsburgh Passion player Beth Amato. The Pittsburgh Passion started in 2002 as part of the National Women's Football Association.Label TextA veteran linebacker and team co-captain Amato, like other National Women’s Football Association players, uses the same equipment as male players. Since most protective equipment is designed for men, the women sometimes have to wear youth sizes in order to get a proper fit.
