InscriptionsIllegible script in black on one side of the basket.
Label TextMargareta Schwartz Zellmann (1861-1947) used this large wicker basket to hold her personal belongings during her immigration from Germany to Western Pennsylvania around 1876. The illegible script on the side of the basket may have recorded her name or destination.
