BiographyFrank Gottlieb was a journalist who worked for many Western Pennsylvania media outlets, particularly radio. Gottlieb was born in Midland, Pa. He graduated from Duquesne University in 1968 with a degree in print journalism. He was drafted in 1968 and served in the II Field Force Vietnam, where he worked for the IIFFV magazine “The Hurricane” and the American Forces Vietnam Network.

Upon his return to the United States, Gottlieb worked in various capacities for radio and television stations in Western Pennsylvania and Central Ohio, including WAMO-FM, WTAE-TV, KDKA-TV and Pittsburgh CBS Local as well as WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio. He worked on the “Brother Love” program on WAMO and was an early employee at the interactive news station QUBE in Columbus, Ohio. He joined the newsroom of KQV in 1985 and served as its news director from 1993 until his retirement.
