Historical NotesCopy of an etching of the George Westinghouse Bridge, c. 1942. The Westinghouse Bridge was built in 1932 as part of Route 30. It crosses over part of the Westinghouse East Pittsburgh Works and the Edgar Thomson Steel Works in the Turtle Creek Valley. When it was built it was known as America’s longest concrete arch bridge.
