In the 1940s, Rudy Montez and Adele Paige traveled the United States, performing their own version of “Latin Dance.” These costumes, which Adele Paige designed, came from the couple’s extensive performance wardrobe. Montez was born in Barcelona; Paige in the United States. The couple, who performed under the name “Montez Adele,” eventually married and settled in Bellevue. Today, various forms of Latino dance are an important form of ethnic identity for the region’s Latinos
