Historical NotesThis sign was found hanging in the milk-house of the family farm. The donors' grandfather, Frank Earhart, worked for the Keystone Coal Company in Darragh, Pa., and it is believed that the sign probably came from this mine.Label TextPennsylvania Bituminous Code of Signals sign, which describes various audible codes given while operating mine hoisting machinery. The sign was found hanging in the milk house of the donors’ family farm.
