DescriptionBrown rectangular wooden trophy with gold circular metal medallion and glass center; long oval base. On top, engraved on gold plate is recipient's name. On medallion front, embossed with organization acronym. Colorless glass window inside rectangular centerpiece: printed in white are images of female diver and swimmer with goggles, inside blue circle is organization acronym, in white is award information. Gold plate on top of base, engraved with recipient's record information. Base: gold foil label with black print, four brown felt pads, and two screws.Dimensions10.25 x 7 x 3.5 in. Historical NotesTrophy won at the NCAA Division III Championships, held at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, March 13-15, 2008, by Mt. Lebanon native and Washington & Jefferson senior Kaitlyn E. Orstein. Kaitlyn Orstein grew up in Mt. Lebanon, attending Mt. Lebanon High School. As a record-breaking teen swimmer, she received the Dapper Dan High School Female Athlete of the Year award in 2004. Her collegiate swimming career at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pa., was filled with national--being a five-time national champion and an 11-time All-American--and international--collecting five gold medals for Team USA in the 2006 Maccabi Australia International Games--championships.
