On the front is a raised image of a proper right facing eagle with outstretched wings and a shield over his chest clutching an olive branch and arrows in his tallons. Above the eagle are thirteen stars inside a circle with a banner to the left and right that has Latin text. Raised border around the edge.Dimensionsa-f) 0.625" diam., 0.375" H
InscriptionsAbove the eagle is a banner to the left that reads: "E. PLURBUS" and a banner to the right that reads "UNUM".
MarksStamped on back "SCOVILL MF'G CO. / WATERBURY".
Historical NotesPart of a collection related to Everett Mead Scott/Holmes family. A noted family in Pittsburgh’s African American community included local business owners, legal scholars, and professional Jazz musicians. Relatives and descendants of the family include legal scholar Derrick Bell, and Jazz pianist Charles Bell.
