DescriptionOlive green, flat-top military uniform service cap with brown leather brim and strap across the front. Circular, gold pin at the front that has a raised image of an eagle with outstretched wings and grasping olive branches and arrows in its talons. Gold button with the same image at each end of the strap across the front. Red oilcloth lining inside the crown and a small bow stapled to the back of the hatband.Dimensions4 x 12 x 11 in. (10.2 x 30.5 x 27.9 cm)MarksPaper tag inside hatband has text "7 1/8" indicating the size.
Historical NotesDonor Patty Dominick’s parents met after WWII. Her father, Isadore “Fred” Dupin, was a tank driver during the war, and after the war he worked for Duquesne beer. He was also a volunteer fireman in Robinson Township, Pennsylvania. He was the Democratic Commissioner for Robinson Township from the 1960s until his death in 1981.
