MarksProper left of back stamped maker's marks: "T&Co" followed by images of the Greek letter Pi, an animal's face, and the body of a lion.
Historical NotesA silver soup spoon awarded by the H.J.Heinz Company to William Hislop. A former umbrella manufacturer, William Hislop began work as a salesman at Heinz U.K. in 1935, located in Glasgow, Scotland. He was quickly promoted to head salesman, and later became (at the time) the youngest appointed manager in the company. Hislop retired from Heinz as Managing Director for Scotland after thirty years of service.
