DescriptionStained glass window in an iron casement. Twelve panels of glass primarily in shades of green. Image depicts a soldier giving a wounded comrade a drink from his canteen. The figures are arranged as a Madonna and child. The man receiving the drink is disproportionally small and his legs are wrapped as in swaddling cloth. Historical NotesThis window is from Good Samaritan Chapel, built in 1935 and demolished March 1997. Father James Cox was a pastor at the chapel. The window was probably added in the 1960s. The topic of the window reflects the churchs origin as a mission church to the poor during the Great Depression.
