Historical NotesBottle of red wine commemorating the city of Pittsburgh's 250th Anniversary of in 2008. This particular bottle is named "Redd Up Red" after a popular local word "redd," meaning to clean up. Mayor Bob O'Connor led a campaign to "Redd Up Pittsburgh" in 2006, a program that continues to this day. Palate Partners and Dreadnought Wines in the Strip District entered into an exclusive arrangement with Sylvester Winery in California to produce Pittsburgh 250 Wine. The wines were sold with the names "Redd Up Red," a cabernet sauvignon, and "Point Blanc," a chardonnay. They were only available through 2008.
