Historical NotesThis apron may have been worn by Mary Ivory at her marriage to Nicholas Good in 1842 in St. Peter's Church, Pittsburgh. She immigrated with her parents from Ireland around 1817. Her father was a whitesmith and reputedly built the locks on the Old Allegheny Prison. He farmed the land and built an inn at the Junction of Ivory Ave and Perrysvill Road (Old Perry Highway), known as the 'Four Mile Inn.'
