Historical NotesBottle of elixir from Tambellini’s, formerly located on Route 51, is a foodways item that Joseph D’Andrea had collected from a local Italian American business. Part of a collection of artifacts donated by first-generation Italian American Joseph D’Andrea that reflects the various activities he was involved in during his illustrious career in Pittsburgh as Consul of Italy, president of the Pennsylvania State Education Association, member of the Board of Directors of the National Education Association, and founder and president of the Italian Cultural Heritage Society.
