Base has small gray beads and black substance. Inside top section is white paper with black printed scale and black text. Box bottom. Rectangular box bottom made from brown paperboard. Exterior is covered in brown paper. Open at top. Box lid. Rectangular box lid made from brown paperboard. Exterior is covered in brown paper. Open at bottom. Historical NotesThe thermometer was used by the pickling department, they had to make sure to keep the temperature at 67° Fahrenheit in order for the chemicals to react correctly. Part of a collection from the Pittsburgh Wool Company.
