Historical NotesEgg carton, part of collection of objects related to Isaly's. Isaly's started with Christian Isaly immigrating to Monroe County, Ohio, in 1833 and starting a cheese making business. From there, generations of the family expanded to eventually create Isaly's Dairy Companies, which sold dairy products and deli meats in stores spread across Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Isaly's became known for their Skyscraper Cones, butter, cheese, baked ham and bologna, chipped chopped ham, and old fashioned ice cream.
