DescriptionCommemorative Heinz trolley or streetcar, spare parts in plastic bag, and original box.
Commemorative toy Heinz trolley or streetcar. Off-white, red, pink, and black plastic streetcar with movable black power pole on roof. Door opening on each end on each side. Front and back have light flanked by the car number; also has destination sign in top window with company name. Rectangular Heinz advertisement on left and right sides at bottom center. Underside is black with two sets of four operational wheels; raised maker text at center above and below central hatch to internal car compartment.
Spare parts sealed in plastic bag. Rectangular sealed clear plastic bag contains two black plastic keys shaped like winding keys with square blade and oblong bow. Plastic bag has printed black text on front at center. The keys open the compartment hatch on the bottom center of the streetcar.
Box bottom. Rectangular cream paperboard box bottom. Interior has imprinted text along one long side on the folded top flap near one corner.
Box lid. Rectangular paperboard box lid with red exterior and white interior. Full telescoping lid. Historical NotesHeinz streetcar collectible. Part of a collection of Heinz giveaways and employee gifts belonging to Toni Graupe, who was a long-time employee of the company. Graupe was the daughter of German immigrants, and she grew up on Voskamp Street in Spring Garden before the family moved to 3681 Spring Garden Avenue where she lived the rest of her life with her sister, they had no children. Graupe retired from the Heinz Company in 1990 after working for the company for 47 years. Graupe worked in the insurance department. She was also a lifelong member of St. Aloysius Church in Troy Hill.
