DescriptionPink glass goblet. Goblet has a circular base that connects to a stem and body with a circular, open mouth; two handles in the shape of scimitars on the sides. Base is black and textured; stem is gold-colored and features a raised wheat pattern with a band around the middle to gather it tie in a bundle. Scimitars on the sides of the body have gold-colored handles with silver blades; blades are curved and flush with body of goblet. Body of goblet has a pink tint and raised text on two sides. First side features Shriners International emblem above raised text. Emblem is a scimitar curved upward with text on the blade; directly beneath scimitar is a white crescent shape pointing downward with gold-colored image of sphinx head in the middle. Directly beneath crescent is a five-pointed star. Other side features raised text and a date.DimensionsHeight x Width x Depth: 5.25 x 3.563 x 2.75 in. (13.3 x 9.1 x 7 cm)
MarksRaised text and emblem on side of body: "[on blade of scimitar] SYRIA / [rest of emblem] / Pittsburgh, Pa."

Historical NotesCommemorative goblet from The Shriner's 1908 Imperial Session that was held in St. Paul, MN. Shriner's from around the world come together every summer for the Imperial Session. The first session was held at the Masonic Hall in New York City in 1876. The weeklong event is held in a different city each year.
