DescriptionHurling stick, also known as a hurley or hurl. Light brown bamboo stick with flattened curved bas at the end. Handle end has a short L-shaped knob at the end that is painted black. Handle shaft is wrapped in dark green foam grip. Black adhesive tape is wrapped around two areas of the grip and around the base of the bas. DimensionsLength x Width x Depth: 32 x 7.5 x 1.125 in. (81.3 x 19.1 x 2.9 cm)
InscriptionsProper left side of the shaft has handwritten initials in black ink just below the black tape at the base of the bas: “RW”.

Proper right side of the shaft has handwritten initials in black ink between the printed logo and maker name: “RW”.
MarksGrip has repeated white text “[logo] TORPEY”.

Proper left side at center of shaft just below bas has black printed text “TORPEY / BAMBÚ”.

Proper right side at center of shaft just below bas has black printed text that is partially obscured by the black tape but includes “[logo] TORP… / BAMBÚ”.
Historical NotesHurley or hurling stick used by Ryan Weinberger at the 2022 and 2023 U.S. National Collegiate Gaelic Athletic Association hurling championships. Weinberger played for the University of Pittsburgh. University of Pittsburgh hurling team won the U.S. National Collegiate Gaelic Athletic Association hurling championship in 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023.
