Historical Notes “Water From Mars” can made by Stick City Brewing Company of Mars, Pennsylvania. Donor Nicholas E. Salkeld started Stick City Brewing in 2018 in partnership with his mother Elaine Salkeld. He learned to brew from his father in the 1990s and when the laws in Pennsylvania became more conducive to brewing around 2016 he decided to open one in his home county using the quality well water in the area. In 2023, the brewery partnered with Mars Borough and the Mars New Year Foundation to can and sell water distilled from the wells of Mars, PA for the bi-annual Mars New Year Festival that took place June 9-10 of that year. The festival coincides with the completion of one full revolution of Mars around the sun.
