DescriptionBank in the shape of a life-size seated dog. Hollow chalkware dog is glazed in glossy orange-brown and white. Dog has upright ears with black eyes and nose. Surface is textured to mimic fur and the tail is curved upward. Back of dog's head has open slot for coin insertion. Flat base has open hole at center. Won by the donor Janice Celedonia's great uncle Edmund Sztemberski at Kennywood Park. Edmund was born in 1913 and passed in 1989 at the age of 75. He grew up on Mohler Street in the Homewood neighborhood. His parents were Polish immigrants Joseph and Wladyslawa (Laura) Sztemberski.
