DescriptionSquare amusement park ride sign with face comprised of two white sheet metal panels painted in black, blue, gray, and yellow depicting a cloaked phantom figure; on the phantom's cloak is a painted roller coaster surrounding mounted blue painted wooden letters that spell the ride name. Front is bordered with blue painted wood border. Backed with black painted plywood panels. Reverse has two vertical metal braces that extend past the top edge and have a blue painted metal hanging loop on front. DimensionsHeight x Width x Depth: 98.375 x 95.5 x 4.25 in. (249.9 x 242.6 x 10.8 cm)
InscriptionsFront has mounted blue painted wooden letters across center "STEEL / PHANTOM".
Historical NotesSign from the Steel Phantom roller coaster at Kennywood Park. The roller coaster opened in 1991 and closed in 2000. It was heavily modified and reopened in 2001 as Phantom's Revenge.
