Historical NotesStudy drawing for a stained glass window prototype for East Liberty Presbyterian Church. Howard Wilbert, an artist at Pittsburgh Stained Glass Studio, designed this panel in an attempt to impress architect Ralph Adams Cram and win a commission for windows in the East Liberty Presbyterian Church. The Studio allowed Wilbert to complete this panel with no constraints on time or costs, so he could do his best possible work. The ploy was successful; Pittsburgh Stained Glass Studio was awarded the contract for the aisle windows of the church.Label TextHoward Wilbert, an artist at Pittsburgh Stained Glass Studio, executed this panel in an attempt to impress architect Ralph Adams Cram and win a commission for windows in the East Liberty Presbyterian Church.
